24 Hour Film Challenge | “Last Call”
This last weekend the IF Factor crew came together again to compete in IFP’s 24 hour “Red Eye” Film Challenge. We were given 24 hours - 10am Saturday morning to 10am Sunday morning - to write, shoot and post a 3 minute short film. They gave us a genre, prop, and a single line of dialogue, all of which had to be used in the film.
At 10:30am we had breakfast at a nearby Waffle House and deliberated on a story and the best ways to implement the required elements we’d been given. By 5:30pm we rolled camera, and we wrapped at 2:30 in the morning. We edited down to the last few minutes when we had a couple technical issues getting it out to the final format it needed to be in order to turn the project in. At roughly 10:10am we delivered the project. Unfortunately our narrow miss of the deadly has forced out of the way to receive any awards, but the film will still be shown with the other 33 films this Thursday (Feburary 11th) at the Harkins Scottsdale 101 theater.
If you want to watch the film, check out our vimeo channel!
We were given the genre of Drama, the prop was the Jan. 31 addition of the Arizona Republic, and the line of dialogue was “Who is that guy?”.
